Design Services
The landscape is an extension of the home & home
owner. We look forward to getting to know you. Listening and asking
the right questions are important components in creating that

Graphic Design Contracts Only
We create graphic designs to scale not only
incorporating the usual retaining walls, sitting areas, bird and
butterfly areas and plant placement & list but also addressing
concerns such as wind direction and velocity, drainage, shade, deer,
raccoon & heron etc., not forgetting, of course municipal by-laws.
This service includes:

An initial connection on site to walk around
with the home owner.

We come for a second visit to present the rough
plan for clients thoughts, revisions and agreement.

The formal plan is constructed and presented to

Bubble Plan
A bubble plan accompanies an on site consultation
with the home owner.

Paving &
Retaining Walls
There are many different styles of paving and patios
including:- sandstone, preformed concrete blocks, stamped concrete,
cobblestone, slate etc.
Retaining walls have their own personalities,
whether from natural stones (large and small) preformed block,
mortared rock, wood, concrete, exposed aggregate etc. Your overall
landscape style will be a guide to the most suitable choice.
The strength and sense of longevity which are stated
with stone paving and retaining walls speak for themselves. As
master stone mason Bill Child would say, "It is a wonderful thing to
think that what we are creating now will be in place long after we
are gone."
Ponds & Water

What is a landscape without water features? If the
budget allows for a pond or stream it is money well spent. Koi,

Xeriscape™ Design
" Water Conservation Through Creative Landscaping "
The Xeriscape ( pronounced ZIR-i-scape ) Principal
was developed by Jim Grabow ( the then president of the Associated
Landscape Contractors of Colorado ) and a task force from Denver
Colorado in 1981 for the public participation in making landscape
water use more efficient. The seven Xeriscape fundamentals have
become universal and applicable in every climate. We had heard
whispers of this in 1993, but had great difficulty in accessing
information. After trying all the major North American Universities,
we eventually contacted the Smithsonian who, after doing some
research, pointed us in the right direction.
